  • Unless I’m actually FB friends with a fellow comrade on here I doubt there is any chance of doxxing me. This is the text:

    Happy Thanksgiving.

This country was founded on genocide, slavery and oppression. And it still operates under this capacity. Both the Democrats and Republicans are actively supporting and funding the Gazan Genocide. Your Starbucks coffee’s beans are harvested by child slaves. The US hegemony is responsible for 10’s of millions of deaths every decade it still exists. We live in the wealthiest nation on the planet but have the highest rates of incarceration in the world. We have the highest rates of homelessness and our current solution is to put the unhoused into concentration camps instead of building houses for them or expropriating the empty houses that have been bought up by billionaires, thus causing this current housing crisis that is mirroring the housing bubble of 2008. We have the best medical science in the West but our health is locked out by subscritions and paywalls that masquerade as insurance that most of the working class can’t even afford. And our drinking water is in crisis because the Oligarchy we live under is controlled by the same tech billionaires that think we need more AI data centers instead of having our basic needs met.

A better future is possible, but not under this system. A better future starts with landback, reparations, and the egalitarian treatment of all people.

  • Well, I guess I’m stating a political hardcore punk band.

I’m still healing from this divorce shit and something kind of amazing came out of it. I haven’t been in the scene for damn near 20 years and only was able to go to a few shows when I was married. Well, we are apparently developing a scene in my city again, so I’ve been trying to make it out to shows as much as I can. A few months ago I was talking to some friends about how I wish we had a proper punk scene here. Discovered a local band named Social Anxiety and was hanging out with them last night at this sort of multi-genre show that they were playing at. I’ve also been talking to a few friends about possibly starting a band.

I bought a bass guitar this last week after not playing for 20 years, I am friends with 2 guitarists, and I might have possibly also found a drummer. Gonna see where this goes but if this project does take off I’ll be stepping down from PSL and probably putting the web dev stuff on hold to pour all my time into relearning bass and getting this thing off the ground. I’m hoping to toe that line where hardcore came out of punk in the 90’s with a lot of heavy political themes. I’m hoping to stick to backing vocals but if we can’t find someone I might try to do main vocals again. I’d like to take inspo from Anti-flag, Dystopia and a few other more crustier sounding bands, but I’m also curious about tossing in a bit of post-hardcore in there.
